You could gear up some more as long as temps allow this and/or advance the motor timing to for a bit more top speed. I'm guessing your running 2s lipo?? if so you could volt up to 3s but you would have to drop the gearing down to suit temps. i wouldn't worry about your mate, 9000+ kv is really meant for 1s lipo imo and he will be pushing his luck even if he gears it right down especially off road the temps will go through the roof.

Just want to know the.... charge rate, is it the same as lipo 1c? voltage when fully charged ? minimum discharge voltage? And finally storage voltage? cheers.

All depends how long they have been stored at full voltage. Try not to leave them fully charged for more than 2-3 days.

That charger can only discharge at 5watts max, so a 2s lipo will only discharge at about 0.7 of a amp so it will take a long time to get to storage voltage from fully charged or from flat. What cell lipos have you got?? And it does sound like its timing out, scroll through the menus and up the limit.

Why do most sensored brushless motor have cut outs/vents/slots in the cans. Is it just for cooling or is there another reason? If its just for cooling then why dont sensorless motors have them. ?

Just check that it is .32 and not 0.8 mod. I forgot to ask what voltage will you be using? If its 3s you will need to gear it down.

My lad has a son uva a digger with a leopard 3900kv motor and sc8 esc and it's geared 17/90 and it does not get hot. Your hobbywing can is longer and 4 pole so will have more torque then his so 19/90 to 21/90 should be about right.

What is the combo going in ?? Bigger pinion = slower acceleration and more top speed. Smaller pinion = faster acceleration and less top speed. Smaller spur gear = slower acceleration and more top speed. Bigger spur gear = faster acceleration and less top speed. As for gearing suck it and see, start of with stock gearing and go from there. But you will need a ir temp gun to monitor temperatures. once you know what temps your getting adjust the gearing as follows. hot motor + cool esc & batt = undergeared cool motor + hot esc & batt = over geared warm everything = just right hot everything = way Overgeared Try and keep the motor under 180f Esc keep under 140/150f And lipos keep under 120f That's the higher end of the scale, ideally all temps should be less, a warm setup is a happy setup.

Ok that's great cheers. If I go for the blade mcpx bl as the more I look at them the more I think it's the one for me, would the spektrum dx6i be ok ?? as I don't want to spend to much on a tx. Or can you recommend a tx that don't cost a fortune please.
