  1. Hello I'm selling up and have the following for sale: Firstly I have my Team Associated B44.1 for sale this is Brushless RTR all thats needed is the lipos and away you go. It comes with a Turnigy Trackstar ESC and 13.5T motor combo the programme card is also included, it's fitted with a super fast metal geared servo 0.10sec and a Turnigy Trackstar TS3T radio gear which has all the feature's off the top end radio equipment including battery voltage level and a temperature gauge that can be fitted in the car. The car comes with quiet a few spares including spare shocks and a spare slipper clutch unpainted spare bodyshell ,and loads of spare wheels and tyres. I only just fitted some new schumacher mini spikes a week ago as well. The motor and esc haven't been used much as I only bought them a month ago and they have never been ran out of blinky mode and the car is in excellent condition with no scratches the only bit of damage is to the wing but these are inexpensive it also comes boxed, I'm looking for
  2. Hello I'm wanting to set the slipper clutch correctly on my b44.1 electric buggy, I understand it's pretty easy to do with 2wd as you just hold the back wheels down and dip the throttle until the car just lifts up. But I'm unsure how you do it on 4wd drive versions to get a standard setting that just needs tweeking a little bit at the track. I appreciate any help cheers.
  3. Okay cheers si coe, I'll see what the b44 feels like with the 24t pinion in if it's slow i'll up the gearing because I have pinions between 23-33 so I should find something to suit thanks for the advice.
  4. Cheers si coe, yeah I thought 6.5t was a bit mental for indoors I got it with the buggy but I am going to replace it with a 13.5t soon, The transmission ratio for the B44 is 2.5.1 I'm not sure what it is for the b-max, I've popped a 24/81 in the B44 I'll see how it feels with that in, when you say left behind on the straights if you don't have a high gearing, is that due to the car just having more acceleration and not much top speed with low gearing? and is it just trying to find a blance between good acceleration and good overall top speed? sorry for the noob questions I'm pretty new to this cheers.
  5. Hello this is really two questions in one, firstly I have a Yokomo b max 2 that i've just got set up it has a 6.5turn speed passion competition v3 motor and I'll be running saddle lipo's at 5000mah, I understand how FDR works for gearing and that but looking at the instructions the lowest pinion size you can use is 20t now I have set this up at 23/80 will this be okay as the track I'll be running on is pretty tight so I'm looking more for accelaration it gives me an FDR of 9.4. My second question is concerning at Associated B44.2 again it's about gearing but this time with a 13.5T would it be okay setting this up at 23/81 that gives me a FDR of 8.80, I hope someone can help as I'm having trouble figuring out whats needed cheers.
  6. Okay cheers and the radio gear is 2.4 ghz i've seperated them just in case cheers.
  7. Hey guys i'm pretty new to this lipo and brushless, anyways I've hooked everything up and then cable tidied all the wires so it's more tidy, my question is should the servo wire and esc to receiver wire be cable tide seperate to the esc to motor wire with this getting hot? I'm only asking because I don't want to burn the servo wires which seem quiet flimsy compared to 14 gauge wire the esc has. any help is appreciated.
  8. Okay guys sorry of the late reply I took it out for a run tonight for the first time properly, I adjusted the idle speed so that it didnt run away took a while to start it but I think that was more the temperature outside (-1). Once I got it started though it was very boggy and kept cutting out while standing still, also when it was running there was no high end speed or accelartion it just bogged and spluttered if I dipped the throttle. Tried making a few adjustments like open the HSN to richen and that made accelaration and top speed better but it was still quiet not right funny gargle noise while running. Would I be better going back to factory settings and tuning it again for winter use? Also stupidly last week I adjusted the wrong needle and accidently turned the Supply fuel nozzle (SFN) that it says never to touch! The last time I saw a nitro it didnt have this extra screw so I suppose it's easly mistaken whats the factory setting for this screw is it flush with the housing? . I appreciate any help with these issues I'm having.
  9. Ohh dear the car is actualy a tt-01 model just matched it upto the instructions, and it's not even the drift model like he said it was! it's the standard with no adjustabe camber or suspension . So I have fitted them gears into the tt-01 instead does th same apply for the tt-01 I dont understand why its drifitng about with it not being the D model would it have anything to do with it being ball raced?
  10. Ojay cheers but arent 1s lipo's only 3.7v anyway? so them saddle packs should be okay run as 1s? the reason I ask is so I can use them in the supastox and then use them saddled in the bmax so it saves me buying loads of batteries. Also I'm a bit confused when it comes to esc and lipos and I understand that the esc has to be higher amps than the motor, but then the battery has to run at higher amps than the esc. So for example if I had an 80amp esc with 250amp burst and I was running a 13.5 turn motor with 35amps then a battery such as a 5600mah 50c would have 280 amps output. Is it alright for th battery to be running such higher amps than the esc?
  11. Hey guys just purchased a second hand yokomo B-max v2, I basically have two question in one but both are about lipo battery's. Firstly whats the best size rise to fit from Hobbyking fr the b max? and secondly I purchased a schumacher supastox the other day and I'm after 1s lipo's for that now I see Hobbyking do saddle packs that are basically 1s if you use one by itself my question about these is whats the power output then for example I was looking at these: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__34306__Turnigy_nano_tech_5000mah_2S3P_30_60C_Hardcase_Saddle_Lipo_Pack_ROAR_APPROVED_UK_Warehouse_.html Now if you used one of the saddle packs what would the mah output be would it be halved to 2500mah? and what about the c rating? It's pretty confusing this lipo game haha any help is appreciated cheers.
  12. So i'm just getting back into rc cars after a long break and I would like to race, is there any clubs left in the county durham area? I remeber a club in teeside which I went to once but that was 10 years ago is it still running? I appreciate any help for clubs in my area cheers.
  13. Okay cheers guys, I've cancelled them parts now and ordered the tt01e gear bags you mentioned noj, I appreciate the help with this guys cheers.
  14. Okay I think I may have ordered the wrong parts then as I ordered the following Tamiya 51531 TT-02 G Parts and Tamiya 51529 TT-02 C Parts (Cup Joint) will these do or should I cancel that and get them parts you mentioned noj? Sorry for all the newbie questions guys.
  15. Cheers noj, I already had that idea of looking up the manual i think i've found the parts code which is 51531which is for the diff case, bevel pinion gears, spur gear stopper, ring gear and spur and modelsport have them am I right in thinking these are what I need and would I need two sets one for the front and one for the back? http://www.modelsport.co.uk/tamiya-tt-02-g-parts-gear-/rc-car-products/373949
