Been away for a while from the RC hobby but Im thinking to start again. Been looking at the clones. Use to have a Rovan Baja 7-8 years ago and I was not to impressed then of the quality. I had to exchange everything, more or less. The plastic was very brittle and things was breaking very easy. Have there been any improvement since then? Feel free to tell me more of these brands!

I dropped a mail to HPI Uk about the upcoming Sidewinder X5 and got the following response: These are currently undergoing the final stages of manufacturing. We are hoping to have these available within a couple of months.

I meant that no one of the other big manufacturer seems to care. I know very well of FG, Losi etc. You cant deny that if we had more competitors it would benefit the buyers?!? Dont understand how you not want more manufacturer as Traxxas etc. getting on to the fifth scale?

If so, why are there not more models out there? Think about it, we have Traxxas, Kyosho, Axial and so on. No one seems to care about the fifth scale... Ok Kyosho have the Scorpion but its not a gasser... Personally I would love to see one from Traxxas! What do U think?

Let me guess, another version of their Baja 5b?!? Why cant they come up with something new?

I would love to see an honest review but my guess is that it will never happen . People tend to lie to themselves when they have paid a lot for something that might be worth half the price.

My guess is that this one will be expensive. Im already set for a genuine Baja SS instead!

Sorry if I offended someone! I Think its phsycially impossible to recreate a reving engine without loads of speakers?!? Just Think how bad a small radio sounds!

I use to have a Baja clone from Rovan but I dont really like how the Baja is built. Personally I Think its a mess to work with. Its not that very "accessible". Been waiting for an alternative to the original 5ive-T. I really like the layout of the 5ive T as it seems very nice to work with. But then theres the Money... I just cant see myself putting up that kind of cash for an original 5ive-T...

Of course not, but at 500-600, Ill be interested!

Ill buy one as soon as they are released?!?
