  1. Hi there, I'm want to recreate this on a porsche lexan shell. Im not sure how to create the colour tho? Flat orange backed in red maybe? Has anyone done this or know how it can be done please? Also, if anyone knows where I can get 1/10 scale wheels like those (period Fuchs from 1970 odd) then a link would be awesome! Im trying to recreate my dad's 1972 911.... cheers!
  2. Sadly not. Thanks though. I've ordered a Losi one until I can find a better one. Will keep an eye out for the LC racing one. Ta.
  3. Thanks. I don't suppose you would know who stocks them in the UK?
  4. Hi there, Does anyone know of a better motor mount set for the Mini 8 Truggy ?? The threads on mine do not seem to last very long at all and I don't over tighten the screws. Any ideas? Thanks, Ewan
  5. Hi there, I'm in need ot a servo mount for the ion buggy but I've no idea what will fit without having to chop things. Does anyone out there know what fits? Initially I just want to put the original servo back in but as I am putting brushless in I cant use the original combo esc housing. Any ideas? Thanks! Ewan
  6. When i want to drive slow i take my Hotshot out! Ha! Looking at a brushless set up for it on Hobbyking as I type actually. I will try and remember the temps this weekend. It's mental on a 3s... I actually have a leopard can and a velineon to try in it, which I will do at some point when I have the time.
  7. I can't remember the last recorded temps to be honest but I should be out this weekend so will try and remember to take some readings (memory like a sieve so no guarantees I will remember!) I run it mainly on tarmac, gravel and a bit of short grass and have never had any issues. It does cog a little but Im not really bothered about that. I don't absolutely cane it, im very careful when I drive. That said, I dont drive it slowly either. Maybe I just got a good one! lol.... I'd definitely get another one. It's great.
  8. My two pence worth. I bought the Truggy brand new. I love it. I've bought a fair few bits as replacements (motors, esc) after reading various posts etc and thus far haven't had to replace anything. It is still stock. I run it stock on 2s and 3s and never had any problems with the motor, or any over heating. I do not run on grass though, as that does cause issues with stock set up on Lipo. The only thing i do use are different wheels and tyres, just because I think it looks better with them than the stock ones. Oh and bumpers from Tbone.
  9. Hi there, I have just installed the radshape rc hotshot suspension kits (front and rear) to my Hotshot to find my stash of old Tamiya yellow shocks don't fit. Can anyone recommend any inexpensive decent enough replacements in the UK? I don't want to spend much and I only use it for bashing around. Any links etc would be very much appreciated! Thanks. Ewan
  10. Ta! Might well consider that then. Cheers!
  11. hmmm interesting. I just found a Venom Racing fireball that's a 370. No idea if it's any good though. Do yoo happen to have a link for the hobbyking set? Ddnt think it would be that cheap....
  12. Evening all, Can anyone recommend any good upgrade brushed motors (for speed) for the Ion? I don't want to go brushless, just a straight swap brushed motor. Any ideas? Ta!
  13. OK. Makes sense. I will get what you suggest. Many thanks!
  14. Many thanks for the info, much appreciated! If the battery does not have a balance lead, would I just get a bog standard electrician's volt meter?
  15. Hello all, Can anyone recommend a good cheap volt meter and a good cheap temp checker in the UK, both for checking lipos, motors and escs? Many thanks!
