  1. Not mine, just a result of the right google words 🙂 I suspect this was toward the toy end of the market as your first picture shows everything (speed control, receiver etc. ) on one board. Hobby grade cars have them separate so that you can upgrade or replace them. IMO if this has sentimental value it could be possible to replace the electronics but if you simply want to build a car with your son something well supported like a Tamiya TT02 might be easier. +1 for a picture of the steering setup.
  2. Model number on box: XQ006(2006) Model no on handset: CE0678
  3. Having been out of the RC loop for a few years now (last post 2015 and about bird boxes) is the Baja 5b still relevant? I was sorting the garage recently and came across my old parts boxes. I still have some front brakes, a carbon chassis and various hop ups from the old days. Is it worth trying to put together another Baja or has the large scale world moved on? It seems like HPI has disappeared for a start. What is the default large scale these days?
  4. We have a bird box camera that we plug into the TV. We are buying the in laws a bird box and camera for christmas and are looking for a suitable monitor. It needs to be small to fit on the kitchen worktop (5 or 7 inch), it needs audio and video in (preferably RCA connectors) and it needs to be cheap (under £50). All the ebay cheapies are for reversing cameras and lack audio, all the ones with audio are more than I want to spend or from super dodgy chinese websites. Can anyone from the FPV community point me in the right direction? Any help gratefully received :)
  5. I'm after a decent condition empty Nintendo 3DS XL box, preferably blue. I know its a long shot but there are plenty of people on this forum so fingers crossed Let me know what you have and what you're after for it. Cheers
  6. Welcome to the forum fellow Didcotian (Didcotite?)
  7. I believe the hpi 2350 motor is 550 size so the same diameter (40mm) as the stock 540. It should fit straight in, just sticking out longer. The only problem when I put a 550 motor in my blitz was getting a 48dp pinion with a 5mm bore, I ended up ordering one from german ebay. On 3s my blitz wheelies all day now
  8. Just had the first BBQ this year, had to put it out with the hosepipe :)

  9. Got some paint on my daughters Blitz shell. Liquid mask is just the best stuff ever I have warned her that it'll end up like all my other cars though. My Tamiya Integrale was supposed to be a shelfer and look at it now...
  10. Check out www.gearchart.com Its really useful for working out gearing and speeds. Assuming your Blitz has 110mm diameter wheels and 2.6:1 ratio (think this was what I worked my Blitz out at) your current setup of 3000Kv motor on 2s and 15/47 gives a top speed of 35 mph The same motor with a stock 88/20 works out at 25 mph. IMO you'd do better with an 83 spur or going to 3s. I run an Exceed Ultra 550 on 3s in my Blitz with 83/28 and its great, very fast and loves to wheely
  11. Quick question as per the title. I believe the wheelbase is within a few mm but does everything else clear?
  12. That looks good. I used to really enjoy building the touring cars. Yes the paints are expensive if you only make one model but once you've done five or six you'll find you have all the common colours and may only need one or two more.
