I'm part way through building my Tamiya M-05 Pro kit - it's all going well so far!

But from looking at the instructions in the wheel/tyre section I'm not totally clear on what's required.

a) It mentions "Wipe tyre surface with detergent or 53417 Rubber Tire Application Primer before attaching". Is this totally necessary?
B) It says to apply "instant cement" to glue the wheel and tyre together, can this be regular household superglue?
c) It says to apply "synthetic rubber cement" to stick the inner sponge to the tyre, where can I get this from, or what can be used instead?

Regards
Matt

I have all ways just put the tyre on the wheel and folded it back as i glue the tyre onto the rim and i just use any super glue that i can find laying around :D, at the end of the day, if the tyre comes away from the rim you know to use stronger glue next time :D

Wiping the tyres before glueing to wheel is important as you need to remove any traces of oil etc. Doing this will ensure a really good bond.

A thin/runny superglue is what is needed so it will run nicely around the rim as you let the tyre come back against the wheel.

Doing all this properly and carefully will give you the best results.

I just use normal superglue. And the best thing for gluing the ends of inserts together is a product called Evo Stik contact adhesive.
