can anyone recommend super tough bodyshells for my bullet st flux. the hpi ones whilst looking pretty cool dont stand up to the abusive driving that i put it through!!the rest of the car stands up to it just fine. ive been recommended the schumacher havoc bodyshell. what else seems to stand up to some punishment?

You don't need a super tough bodyshell if you get a new car ir body shell put this on it this make the coated panels never crack.

mmmh looks interesting, maybe a daft question but would you just do the inside of the bodyshell or double coat one in one out?

Just do the inside of the bodyshell it'll cure on hard quickly it'll look a bit weird but it'll make it properly solid apply it with a paintbrush

If you do it on the outside of the bodyshell it's the very devil to get it off without chemicals I accidentaly put it on one of my old toy rc cars and i had to use a wire brush to get it off afterward it was covered in scratches. But the car was phenomenal at being bashed I've been through hell and back with that car and it only cost me £35.00

So did it scratch badly on the outside then? As I will be adding it to pre-painted stock shells for the time being. So if I can protect everything for longer before I start to experiment with paint the better (well better for the bank and the wife)

That's if you put it on the outside if your car is and wants to remain in concours condition don't bother but if your a light or heavy basher or racer do it it will save you money and bodyshells

That stuff really works, but its a bit pricy considering its really shoe repair glue thats been repackaged! Its also quite heavy.

I used to use the stuff alot when I ran TC's, as I'm not a great driver, but my dad is a great shell painter. Result was I had some Car of the Month worthy shells I was smacking into barriers and needed to protect.
I soon realised you don't need to do the whole shell. Splits always start from an edge or a mount hole, so put plenty around them, but there is no need to put it anywhere else.

I've painted 2 body shells before they came out alright. That stuff is pricey but some things are re badged because someone had a bright idea/way to use it HPI baja shells then to crack accross on the back near or around the body mounts
