I went today to the new facilty at SILVERSTONE in Northamptonshire UK. Is a brand new purpose built place with a permanent indoor Asphalt Track, an outdoor Asphalt Nitro track, SC trucj course, Rock Crawling course, Buggy track, Slot car track, Full size F1 simulator, Ford Focus Rally simulator, Motorbike simulator, Food and just about any other 'boys' toys that you can dream of !!!!

£10 a session... not cheap. It's far less at most tracks.

Is that £10 all day? So then you will get charged silverstone prices for food as well. I might go every now and again depending what the other courses are like.
More intrest to me is the fact that this puts hobby rc in a more mainstream situation. Load of car lovers will now experience our hobby and see how awesome it is. Could be great for some more people to get in on it.
Does the shop sell RC stuff? Or is it just food and random stuff. If its like a full blown hobby shop that has competitive prices then it might be of some interest to me.

I shall reserve full judgement until I have seen the other tracks, (sc and buggy ones mostly)

EDIT:

HANG ON. LOOK AT THE YEAR PRICES! JEEZ! THATS INSANE. I could buy the membership then just not race any cars seeing as I wouldnt have money to buy any cars afterwards. I dont really see how they can justify those prices of £300 and £600. I mean hell I find £75 a little steep.

Nice to see there doing track day's despite the fact my club is 10 quid a year for three tracks all of which are top UK Tracks! Posted Image

Plus as much use as you want. I understand this is indoor etc, but 300 a year very few people will pay!

Remember, its an Indoor track, so rent, light, heat, water etc has to be paid for. Outdoor tracks won't have those bills.

Looks fantastic and I can well understand how they can justify the high prices. Just hope they don't end up making themselves too exclusive and alienating alot of the racers who aren't quite so well off from using it.

Can't wait to see the some of the other courses... Wonder if there'll be a 1/8 nitro buggy/truggy track?

Those look like pics from the RCX show in America, that indoor dirt track certainly is.

The whole Moto Arena planning/announcement has been an utter shambles and considering the place is now open, there have been waaaaaay more unanswered questions than answered ones.

maybe snetterton should take a leaf out of silverstones book and bring back and offroad rc track, would certainly improve the area and there is plenty of room for it
