I don't reckon Greene King's refreshing bevarage is going to do much to the paint to be honest. Might help lubricate the operator before the starting process though
Seriously though, I reckon brake fluid is the way to go, although be sure to clean it off properly before attempting to spray the rest of the shell.
Get some pictures up when you've done it. I did a Defender 90 for my Savage a couple of weeks ago and it turned out really well - before I started using it! I used the wrong paint and it's started chipping off!

Warning; i've never painted a body or removed overspray from one
however i'd probably try T-cut or a very fine rubbing compound. this may be the wrong way to go as i'm not familiar with the type of paint used.

Nitro works, I wouldn't think IPA would though. Id' get some fine sandpaper on the paint, just rough it up some, and then rub at it with some nitro on a rag. It won't end up perfectly clear, but will do the job.

if its only a small amount use nitro, Dot4 is the best for removing paint, but you have to clean it off, other wise any slight residue will cause your paint to flake off.

if its a lexan, i would be very careful on what you use as you may end up melting it or clouding it
try on a scrap piece of lexan first
paint thinners (not white spirit....too oily) would probably work but do a small area at a time and wash off with warm water immediately after
just take your time (time being cheaper than a new shell......unless you are Bill Gates lol)
