You are looking for good quality at a reasonable price? Then the new FG Baja Buggy 4WD is your best choice. Fourwheel drive, completely mounted ready todrive, combined with the open Baja bodyshell and the metal roll cage as well as the gigantic Off Road rims with low-profile knobbed tires. This gives the Baja Buggy an unmistakable striking look and means pure driving fun. Equipped with a 26ccm engine the Baja is aggressive and also a tremendous jumper. Additionally the 4WD grants the model the maximum driving power and highest fun factor on every surface and in all curves.

Equipment of the 1/6 FG Baja Buggy 4WD/RTR:

Angled 4mm alloy chassis, completely covered belt drive, 2 differential gears at front and rear axle with hardened bevel gearwheels, closed front axle housing, front bumper, double wishbones at front and rear axle, gear brake, adjustable right/left thread rods at the track rods and at the front and rear wishbones, fully ball-raced, 4 large-volume oil-pressure shock absorbers, alloy side rails, rc plate, receiver box. The alloy side rails protect the rc parts, tank a.s.o. as far as possible against dirt. The two-piece body shell is made of polycarbonate. The giant low-profile knobbed tires are glued on white rims. Front and rear axle are equipped with wide-base tires. The model is equipped with a powerful 26ccm combustion engine with ready-for-use oiled air
filter. The engine runs with normal 2-stroke petrol-oil mixture (available at every petrol station). The tank filling of 0,7 litres enables you to run your model around 45 minutes. With the installed pull-start system the engine can be started without any difficulties.
The RTR version is delivered with assembled and preset radio control system, charger and rechargeable batteries. To complete the non- RTR version all popular servos and radio control systems are suitable.

That's a welcome additiong to FG's Baja lineup, maybe this will help solve the problem with trying to accelerate round corners. The current 2wd model just lifts up and goes in a straight line.

I wonder if they will be doing a conversion kit?

Just found some 4WD conversion kits for the FG Monster Truck, Marder and Baja - part numbers 68500, 68501, 68502 respectively.

I am assuming they are new because www.rc-car-online-shop.de is advertising them as preorder for late March.

If the manual for the standard FG Baja is anything to go by then all they do is lay the parts out in order, take a photo and then add the part numbers nect to each part to form a kind of exploded diagram, like this. This is the manual for the RTR though so maybe they have actual build instructions for the kit models.

I am definately interested in one of these, but only if someone else can confirm that it helps to keep the front end down and helps with cornering under acceleration before I commit myself. If it doesn't help with these problems which come as standard with the FG Baja then it's a rather pointless upgrade.
