BMI Racing have announced their new line of ‘Big Wheels’ 64 pitch pinions. Due to the gearing requirements of brushless motors they have noticed the need for high quality pinion gears which are larger than what is currently on the market.  Also, due to recent developments in 3.7v LiPo 1/12th racing, bigger pinion gears will become necessary. Big Wheels pinions are available in 45 to 60 teeth (shown with 78 spur) and they are machined from aluminium then plated with Nickel Teflon, a coating which is very hard and has very low friction.

Slow motors and cells need a high gear ratio for racing with, but yup, it looks perfect for anyone wanting high-speed runs with lots of power (assuming your equipment can pull that sort of gear ratio...).

How much do you reckon it'll do on a 9000kv brushless setup on 2s lipo in a firestorm..?  :whistling:

I have a idea..

nah, that motor would blow with a gear like that. it's a high RPM motor, so would need gearing lower ;)
