Maybe you've seen the brutal power from a good brushless system. Image that power on hand in your Revo and still having second gear to reach even higher speeds. This chassis allows for easy installation of the Revo's front and rear end assemblies plus the automatic transmission. You maintain the automatic shifting, reverse, the power of brushless and the legendary suspension of the Revo.

• Chassis plates made from 100% natural heat treated aluminum.
• Low Center of Gravity (LCG) to handle the most potent powerplants.
• Mount up to 8 NiMH cells per side. Battery stop included for LiPo.
• Chassis maintains operational 2 speed automatic shifting and reverse with the power of brushless!
• Mount for 700-sized motors can be had at your request.
• Kershaw Designs recommends using 16T Mod 1 pinions if using XL brushless motors and standard sized tires
• Includes all necessary installation hardware and illustrated instruction manual.

Heavy & Soft 6061 Aluminium.

Good price though but not for anyone wanting performance.

Where does it say what grade of alluminium its made out of?

But yeah i can't see the need for it being that thick, especially the motor mount! The chassis looks abou 4mm thick, as does the top deck. Surely 3mm would of been enough and 2.5mm for the top deck. And you would be suprised how much weight you would save by shaving off 1mm and 1.5mm. And the motor mount could have been a third of that thickness.

could have just pocketed out the back, would have looked a bit nicer and wouldn't affect stiffness as much as facing the whole thing down :)

All of Kershaw Designs stuff has been 6061 and looking at the thickness and price... this will be no different.

More corners and edges means more chances of it cracking, especially if its made out of cheap crappy alluminium as Nick stated.

And you'd be suprised how much strength a pocket takes out of the chassis, it would be more prone to tweak (just think that area will be narrower so will twist easier)

Oh well, i wont be buying one, whether i had a revo or not

 not if you pocket it right, i'm sure they've got access to fea software as even i have. wouldn't leave sharp corners in pockets, thats a given. rads in the bottom and along the pocket walls.  i'm sure a thinner chassis would be weaker than one they currently have but pocketed, the pocket walls would be akin to adding bracing ribs to the bottom of your thin plate chassis...

I like the placing of the batteries. would lower the COG significantly.
