autobutcher
Clamp the bejesus out of them so they are lined up together and drill through both in one go is what I would do. Does it need an extra brace though?

Does it need an extra brace though?well the only one up top front us the main bulk head ones..The rx box ain't gonna put up much of a fight..it'll jus colaspe/deform ...forwagin..or what ever his name is said it could twist under extrame circumstances....and we know if !@#$ can happen. ..it most likely will....I got the rear done..It's here I wanna put it in above pic it's jus slotted in. when u say clamp..clamp what exactly? ?I was thinkin a long drill bit in one side out the other. .. Alex97
Remove the side bits, line it up then bolt it together so it can't move. Then drill the hole. Job done.

autobutcher
I'd bite the bullet and take both tvp's off, clamp together and drill through to make sure they are lined up exactly, that way when it's all tightened up it will be straight and true, not twisting under the strain, pain in the backside stripping it though!

Tug
5mm chassis plates? You'll struggle to bend those.
chewbacca
well no drill bits..all to short by about 5mm...typical! !but I now have plenty of insulation tape.. . ..lol!! You're not gonna get through that thickness of metal with that much tape, you're gonna need at least 5 more rolls.

DannyP
When I did my ESC mount and Alza servo plate I bolted the two TVP's together in a couple of places and drilled straight through both.

DannyP
Just mark it up before you next strip it down and do it then, if you even need it?
