Options for rear wheel drive

Recommended Posts

I've bought a couple of old saloon car bodies which have 260mm wheelbase and 190mm width.

Any suggestions for good chassis to place under these bodies which would provide good rally/road race performance & RWD.

I would prefer to stick to the manufacturers listed as they have good support in my area.

Standard touring car dimensions limit you quite a bit for rally use.

You could always take a TamiyaTA01/TA02 and remove the front drive. M06 doesn't go out to 260 wheelbase, or that would be a good choice.

This looks interesting too....

The guy converted a DT02. Basic DT02 buggies are easy and cheap to get, Not sure on the availability of the other bits he used....but there may well be other options for the creative :) Would give you a rally car with actual off road ability and you can use the buggy shell as a dust cover to keep the mess out.
