Yes it's a racer, but it's strong, as long as you don't drive full-speed into concrete walls! I've taken mine off of 20 foot jumps at quarries etc and it never breaks. Has been more than a match (in terms of toughness) for my brother-n-law's HPI Blitz. Plus, it handles better. Only upgrades I've done are to fit front and rear sway bar sets, as it traction rolls on tarmac, otherwise. Not a dedicated basher, like the Slash, but the Losi will run circles around a Slash all day, without breaking a sweat. Like a gazelle dancing around a buffalo. EDIT: Just remembered. I also replaced the standard spur gear with the uprated kevlar one. Standard plastic one struggles to handle 3s power on high-traction surfaces, but is absolutely fine on gravel etc. Or... it might have just been the fact that we hadn't set our slipper clutches correctly, as the Blitz spur failed at exactly the same time!
