got my self a new project this is going to be my first build post so go easy on me anyway I'll compare the chassis to the Tamiya Man 6x4 as I had one in the past first up is the chassis went together nice and easy the only the that had me stumped was the chassis rails weren't marked L and R but got there in the end 0CEC151F-2E08-4A79-B0B6-0DD421B73F0F_zps next on to the leaf springs carn't remember if tamiya leaf springs were able to be changed to different stiffness but yo can with this 24BD8BB4-B3EA-4F82-8CA7-27792ECA0D29_zps next the shocks these are supposed to hold oil but they dont't 1ED85214-4094-4FD6-AEA4-737437610A5D_zps last the rear axials look to be rc4wd copies but are much more scale than Tamiya ones 09ECCE2B-FAAB-411C-A293-CEA02BF2C74D_zps that's it for now the only down side so far is the shocks but on the plus side it comes with ball bearings more to come

got a bit more done made the gear box just like a Tamiya one BC9BA8C3-95EB-4C67-A75D-E8DD2BB43E7C_zps the motor that comes with the kit needs the connectors to be soldered on no idea what turn it is but not going to use it anyway thinking of a rc4wd 35t motor or a Carson truck puller any suggestion

Very nice so far :good: cannot beat a good lorry build they are brill!

 your not wrong there :)

not seen a lorry build so i'm following this one, interested to see how they are :)

had 2 in the past useless off road saying that the last one I had went up and down the garden ok

Is this not a Tamiya then? What brand is it?

not a tamiya it's a very very good copy of one I got it from AsTec models but it comes from r2hobbies so far the only difference is the rear axils witch are rc4wd copies and are much more scale than tamiya

I was thinking the very same.....

Dibs on the motor please mate if you sell......

pm on the way mate

What's the quality like on this? Noticed the hex hardware and not the usual philips head stuff that Tamiya use

the quality is just like tamiya it's 95% Philips head and 5% hex hardware comes with ball bearings as well :)

Starting to look like a lorrry now

Could you not route all the wiring through the sleeper and make up some little curtains to hide it? (while adding a little scale touch)

I remember someone on eBay made curtains don't know if they still listed or not but going to have a play with some styrene to make a back to go behind the seats

Spraying or painting the inside of the cab black would help no end with hiding stuff......

your right only got a small paint brush so it's going to take me a long time
