Sakura D3 - Copy

Does anyone have any experience with the Sakura D3 copies from china.

 

I was looking at one that looks nice and has all alloy parts and carbon chassis

not sure if its worth buying or not as it looks like it has all Sakura parts on it.

I don't think it is a copy. Its a fully hopped up sakura d3

doesnt look like a copy to me either, at that price, it better not be either

I read on a few various places they are copies or wrong colour seconds

Yeah they are cheap copy's.

Some have had luck reporting no problems.

Others haven't been so lucky. Reporting shed loads of problems

I've been looking at getting a D3 .  Noticed a few with wrong colour purple parts. 

 

 

Whats the obvious to look out for Hammy/D3 guys so I don't get a lemon?

I decided to buy one and see what there like, when it arrives I think I may strip it down and rebuild it myself will post some photos of it once it arrives

Ahh yes a good strip down is a must.

Binding cvds Is one of the main ones, same old belt tension issues, and very quick wearing belts, as in, rips the teeth from the belt rather than belt snapping. A few rough edges here and there on metal and carbon.

But like I say it really is luck of the draw.

I was seriously considering one myself a while back thinking I could rectify and dodgyness, until I heard about the ban of clones on soulrc's track so haven't bothered.
