Hi guys, thinking about changing my 2wd pede into a slash. Cash is a bit tight atm so looking at doing a chassis, steering and skids for now as I have various shells from various trucks I may be able to fit. Could someone grab their 2wd slash and measure the width minus the nurf bars and distance the front and rear body mounts are from each other.
Mucho greasyass

Body posts are 315mm apart

Chassis tub is 190mm wide without the nerfs, and 245mm with them.

Body length at the centre is about 520mm but there's some leeway either way there, or you could do some trimming.

Wow. Bigger than I thought. Thanks for checking for me, much appreciated. I got a couple of kaxx shells here which seem about the right size.

Thanks again.

Slash conversion on the cheap. Got bored with the carpy handling in the p2wd so I heard the slash was better, 45 bucks ( Inc blitz shell ) later and this is what I have

Works on my phone. Thanks AJ, my phone will do.

Its something to do with my browser settings apparently, will not allow me to share pics. Maybe something to do with restrictions in place as my 5 yr old.l uses it.

Got a set of trenchers on rims here to go on it, but keeping them for now as its gonna mainly be run onroad until the weather picks up. The talons as you know are rubbish, so should slide around a treat.

Cheers OHO. Looks beefier with the trenchers though. Just knocked up roughly a little brace for the chassis and shock tower.

Hopefully get a little blast tomorrow lunchtime, weather permitting. Its only the servo not WP but dont want to soak it just yet. Only running 2s atm but got some too big 4s slabs I might have a laugh with. Think they might be too heavy though.

Thanks for the replies guys.

As per my obsession with gearing I have been playing a lot with pinions and spurs. Running a wpsc8 with a 2500kv 3660 motor it gives me a nice wide scope. Been running very cool with neither the motor nor the esc breaking 25c on 2s, I decided to up the anti. Using 32dp gears I am off to try 22/52 in the morning. Should be a laugh and ease off the constant fishtailing up to full speed.

Well, can confirm "That'll do donkey.......that'll doo." esc still under 30c and the motor now tops out at 43c after running a full pack flat out, doughnuts and generally being a tool. I rekon it should be about right for the warmer weather too. According to phone GPS app its doing just over 40mph with slash wheels and tyres. With the pede talons its just a smidge under 46. I cant go any more with it wearing the blitz shell as its starting to lift on the front if it hits a tiny piece of gravel.
