woza
Everybody was moaning about the rtr xl n seems axial was reading it all. Every part we said needed upgrading has been done. To be fair the rig looks alot better I think. Just gotta wait to see the price on it and a uk release date? Excited think i might have a new basher
oodboo
But does it come with zoot shocks?

Carpmart
I love the styling, BUT, it seems to handle terribly?
DannyP
So much want!!
suicideneil
Well, don't go much on the shell ( easily fixed ), but it looks kinda fun and you know it'll be well supported, spares and aftermarket upgrades wise. That rear axle though; my TXT-1 just started smiling, knowing that when that day comes that it can't be fixed or replaced any more, there is an off the shelf option to replace hers... Bigjimknickers
Would a 2000kv motor & wp sc8 be any good for this?
Tug
SC8 is 4s limit, it'd work OK, but not gonna thrill ya. I'd go Xerun for the two extra cells it'll handle. 2000kv will be spot on in my book.

Tug
What's the cell max in one of these then? The car? 6s is being used to maximum bonkers effect. Like a lot of cars of this size and ilk, the sweet spot will probably end up being 5s, but I'm not an owner, I'm basing my assumptions on what I've seen and read. Personally, I love the Yeti XL, it looks good and I like its quirks.
Bigjimknickers
Interesting, I have a 2000kv a wp sc8 & a Mamba monster spare too so I could cover 6s if need be, does this require loads of mods to make it decent like the yeti?
Tug
Again, this is based on reading forums and watching youtube, but the worst I've heard is the odd diff failure, usually on 6s. Front wishbones, but that's hardly unique to the Yeti XL. I believe that's about the worst of it. If finances allowed, I'd have one tomorrow! Never done scalers, crawlers, rock racers etc, but this is an exciting rig! I'm not saying it's super tough, I can't as I've never owned one, but it piques my interest. Fast off-roaders rock! DON'T BUY ONE BASED ON MY THOUGHTS! I'VE YET TO OWN ONE!
Bigjimknickers
I'm interested as I've got the electrics, & the price interests me too as I'm close to buying a slash 4x4 which is going to cost over
Tug
Had a Slash 4x4, loved it. I'd sooner try one of these though, bigger is definitely better in my book. Have you checked the URC forum? Quite a bit of chit chat going on stateside.

suicideneil
Are we taking bets on the UK price? I'm guessing
mydoddy69
Going of what the yeti kit is compared to the RTR I reckon more like
woza
State side is saying $499 so it should be less than
Noj
I say 1700kv, 6s and geared to the moon!!!!
suicideneil
I'm inclined to agree that a lower kv motor and 5-6s is the way to go- this thing is bigger than pretty much any 1/8 truck I've seen...
woza
The lower the kv the more torque isnt it? N deffo going 6s on this beast
Noj
More torque and better efficiency with high voltage. Should allow for more gearing options too....as the can is enclosed within the chassis, a sensored set up could be fitted...
