my ascender

Well after building it on and off since Boxing Day I've finely finished my ascender got some 1.9 AXIAL beadlock wheels and RC4WD mud thrashers tires just got to paint it when the weather lets me I'm doing it TAMIYA ps-14 I will put some pics up when I have but this is how she looks at the moment 663074BE-25E9-4E8D-8124-F5D096A8A879_zps F8BE74A6-0AC5-4C6E-ACF8-CCF46AC9147C_zps

Looking good, the Ascender is fantastic, and very capable. Just make sure you got the ring and pinion correctly shimmed and you're set to go.

 

What kind of electrics have you got in it?

 

If you're ever looking for different shocks, I can recommend the Boomerang type I shocks, 100mm or 110mm, I used the 100mm on the ascender with the medium springs it gives it a slightly more scale look and also slightly better ride.

 

Are those the standard 1.9 mud thrashers? That's what I will probably use when I get another ascender.

thanks ostewart it's all correctly shimmed electrics wise it's got a Hobbywing QUICRUN 1060 ESC a Etronix ES092 Waterproof Servo HPI Saturn Motor 27t those are the shocks I'm going to get and yep they are standard 1.9 mud thrashers

Looking good, nice colour, now all it needs is some mud :thumbsup:

only need to go in the garden for that it's really muddy :)

I'm counting it anyway just waiting on my new shocks from AsiaTees and a Remote Switch for LED lighting http://www.freewebstore.org/HeyOK-Performance/Remote_Switch_for_LED_Lighting/p1742582_8014063.aspx then should be golden :)

That's some nice looking mirror's. That's one of the "next stage" items on my wish list for my Hilux build.

 

Shame you're thinking about selling it already, I spy some mud on the tyres so looks like you've ran it outside.

 

I enjoy both the building and driving/racing of rc models. My Hilux build is the longest time I've spent collecting bits for the initial build, I've been reasonably patient for once :thumbsup:

The mirror's are only 8 or 9 pounds posted from Martin at Rcbitz I don't know what's rong with me I'm realy in to the build then when it's finished I lose all interest in them and looking for something new to do

There's nothing wrong with you, you just prefer building to bashing.

I do I have to be doing stuff with my hands it's very therapeutic even when steam is coming out of my ears when stuff doesn't fit and so on LOL
