Thunder Tiger E-mta -

Wondering what ppl#s opinions are of these?  Considering swapping one of my Hyper 7e's for one - that way I'll have a 7e buggy left, St pro Truggy and a MT.  Afaik the e-mta is the orig one, with the X mounted shocks.

Searched the forum but there's little info, and I've no idea of value / parts /durability,

Cheers -  I think I watched that.   I quite like it tbh but turns out the one on offer has the same combo as my buggy, not the stock electrics,,, I was going to swap out the 6s capable gear so thats one reason for swapping gone.

Hi there I own one,it seems a decent truck although iv not used it all that much.Plenty of power in the stock combo that's in there, the front end is up all the time if your heavy on the throttle. How the battery's load in the tray can be quite fiddly to install and connect but it gets easier once u get the hang of it.I did snap the front shock tower clean in half landing on a kids bike from a huuuge jump.no child was harmed the bike was left unattended thankfully

Thanks for the honest info - I'd noticed the battery boxes and the lack of centre diff meant probable wheely city.  As the truck has had it's 6s combo replaced with a 4s one though I'm less inclined to trade my Hyper 7e for it.  Value wise it's probably an ok deal but I really wanted a 6S combo to swap out into my ST Pro.

I wouldn't get the e-mta. I just sold mine. Wheel bearings are only 6x12mm and keep collapsing, too small for brushless power. Threads in the plastic strip too easily. Bumpers and bulk heads are weak. Got fed up with nothing but wheelies. A lot of grief finding batteries that fit. Parts support has become a MASSIVE issue.

Cheers, in the emd I gave it a miss - guy traded it for a 1:10 bl MT and some cash I think.

That's a good 600grams heavier than the e-mta and I bet the battery compartments are as bad a size. The e-mta boxes were pretty much an exact match to the battery sizes. Once you got that slight 1mm puffiness they didn't fit. Needed only another couple mm tolerance. Check all the sizes twice before investing and hopefully it now has 8mm wheel bearings. If these 2 things look o.k. I'd say it should be pretty cool.
