Tt01 shocks

I'm converting a spare tt01 I have laying around for my son to run offroad, I've trimmed the front and rear skid plates to allow for extra travel and I'm going to trim the c cups.

I'm in need of shocks and not sure what to buy? The 55mm gpm ones on asiatees are completely out of stock. So they're out of the question.

A few fingers have pointed towards the tamiya cva mini's with soft springs. Would these far different from any of the other generic 55mm alloy shocks? And are soft springs essential.

Thanks

Well I've just fitted these shocks I've had laying around off of my mst drift car, they don't seem to rebound very well. I'm guessing a change of oil, any recommendations?

I'll have to see what it's like once I get the tyres through the post.

Same here, I bought 4 sets but mine have a chrome rim instead of black. Worst thing is the delivery times.

I just got refunded off of one seller who said the package was destroyed by customs because there was a weapon of sorts in the same container.

When mounted to the car, maximum extended length of approximately 55mm from centre of top eye to centre of bottom eye, which is around 60mm from the very top surface of the shock to the very bottom. However, the suspension arms prevent the shocks from extending to 100%, so the shocks might be ever so slightly bigger than that. 60mm shocks would do fine though, I think.
