This thread is an ongoing custom project on sky rc sr4 (parts are being made an be with me in a couple weeks)

 

Had bike 6 or so month awaiting use, in that time oiled forks an shock, threadlocked grubs screws etc replaced rx so could use my basher radio gt3c.

 

4 packs in wheelie bar took a hammering an shattered tail section ( would have been worse if left lower bolt on rider in)

 

 

whilst running the steering seemed to be slow adjusted settings on radio to aid what was after but replaced servo with a savox toying on idea of dropping in tekin motor but feel castle sv3 combo be going in..

another 3-4 packs ran i snapped forks immense fun was having an kurb just appeared from nowhere

 

 

Its a known weakness fork shaft snapping an thankfully lads at rcbikes stock the revised shaft an leg

The gen 2 fork parts have been reworked so shaft screws in leg oppose to just thread on gen 1.

 

 

 

Somehow factory forgot to alter spring retainer cup hole an how to secure cup as no longer held in place via thread/shaft as old..

 

 

 

so opened cup hole with 3.5 drill bit an used small amount of jb weld to secure on leg, chopped 3-4 coils of spring an filled with 30wt oil.

 

rear shock been replaced with revo shock an purple spring with 65wt

 

bike riding better more calmer an settled

take it out other week when frost started to settle which made power slides immense so much so you guessed it broke it again not forks this time but rear axle lol got my grind on

 

 

 

 

Need to drill out scratch bar holders so can take 6mm nylon rod

super easy as has adjustable speed electric gyro that is strong!! this ain't my first rc bike but is largest in paddock being 1/4

As bike down (wheel soon to arrive) i grabbed some power tools an got chopping n drilling
side bar mount
frame
battery tray
 

So to gain ride height for some rough off roading

 

nylon rods accepted now

 

 

Beta tray mod

 

 

 

Drilled an then braced lower frame

 

 

temp refit to check stance

I've yet again snapped rear axle bolt 7 month ago at same bash spot that took out orignal, new wheel an make up longer sratch rods back in action. Fella who was doing custom parts seems to have got carried with testing an kept parts within camp so too say lol.

Finally managed to get round to some wrench time with bike

got new rear wheel

remade sratch bars an wheelie bar(but was to thin that lasted 2 min) 

Need new body kit an figure now
