I just put it on ypur losi mrc thread. The sxout sounds very good and can be modded with axial parts upto a nice scale looking trail truck.

Check the crawler section its usually got half a dozen scout threads going. they are very popular.

The scout is a excellent beginners crawler, it will need mods doing from the box but lots are free and just require a little time spent on it.

Biggest thing to pay out for is some decent tyres at around

i used to mess about with the fast stuff and when i got into crawling i was hooked after a while you just start looking for anything ti try crawl over

the scout is a very good car to start with in the group i usually go out with there can e upto 5 scouts with us and they just go anywhere even as stock

the only thing i would say to do straight away is lower suspention a bit just to make it more stable and put a slightly larger pinion on to speed it up a bit then go out and have fun

I do like my scout, the best bit about it is you don't need a lot of space to run it, a few rocks in the back garden will do, or basically anything that presents a climbing challenge. a mate of mine didn't see the point until he tried it, then he was hooked! It's also pretty obvious when you modify it if it's improved it or not.

Well I've gone for it, just been out and bought one this afternoon. I haven't even got it out of the box yet. I'll have a look later on and I've just broke up for my Xmas holidays so I can see me getting a course built in the garden.

Slow does not equal boring. You will soon realise that driving a crawler takes skill and perseverance.

I have a coarse in my garden and have it set out so most of the  obstacles are right on the limit of the

capabilities of the car,it makes for some really tense driving.Old dry stone walling is a good source of

building materials.

Bloody ages. I can get 50 minutes out of an 1800mah lipo if that's any use. When I was running it on the NiMh (3000mah) I'd get a good 2 or 3 40 minute runs in the yard on my rock crawler bed.

If you want to start missing it, I'd suggest the following for big improvements:

Wheel weights (150-200g in each front, 100g at the back) just using adhesive lead tape off ebay

Oh yes I forgot about that one. I also removed the spacers from the silver spring shocks and added one to the black spring on rear left.
