MAZ
Is Stihl Ultra okay for my Baja engine? Its fully synthetic and designed for 2-stroke engines (I use it in my strimmer, blower, hedgecutter, combi unit) Some info on the oil:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stihl-0781-319-8061-2-Stroke/dp/B007TJKGMWhttp://www.stihl.co.uk/STIHL-Products/Fuel-Oils-and-Canisters/Oils/21467-1559/HP-Ultra-two-stroke-engine-oil.aspxhttp://www.stihl.co.uk/stihl-hp-ultra-high-performance-engine-oil.aspx I'm wanting to clean out the baja's engine and then lube it up with the oil that I'll be using when I'm actually running the baja. Is it suitable though???! Cheers Edited December 19, 2014 by MAZ
MAZ
I've had a fair few views on this but no replies as yet :/ I'm kinda thinking I'll just risk using it - I don't even know if the engine works - especially as there's a nick on the piston (right near the triangle) Could some grit have got in there and caused that?? Surely it couldn't make the engine run that terribly if I did use it?? *feeling lost*

(-:AD:-)
Yeah. Its good oil. Many people use it. The normal red stuff is good enough for a standard engine Edited December 19, 2014 by (-:AD:-)

mark35
It looks abit grubby in the bottom end there maz, Could do with a clean an rebuild. if you have a flywheel puller its quite easy. Do you fancy abit of home porting? An easy mod is to take 3mm from the inlet side of the piston skirt (opposite side of arrow) I've done this using a hand file. Check this link out....... http://www.baja-forum.co.uk/showthread.php?30975-Stock-26cc-rebuild-gt-29cc-Full-mod&highlight=piston
