evssv
Well we went out....eventually. ..and it died!!!...keep jammin...and very jerky when it does move the odd few inches....i thk its the centre diff...as the motor pinion is turning the centre diff fine but not the fr/rear centre shafts. ......so this is my first major issue since I bought......and it gets 6s abuse quite alot...lol!!....have ta digg out me big bag of spares an take a look tomorrow. .. I'm sure I've seen a bag of beval gears and possibly a diff case...... Edited December 20, 2014 by evssv
mydoddy69
Sounds like you need to do some tool wrenching !. I'd go in and service all the diffs and give it a good check over while your at as I daresay it could do with a full service. You should have the spares to hand !. mydoddy69
The last lot of oil was 60,000 in the front 300,000 in the middle and 30,000 in the rear At the minute in my new one I'm running slightly thinner 30,000 100,000 10,000 only because that's all I had to hand but it works quite well

Skinso
I've just changed my diffs from standard as I stripped the internals in the rear last week. 100f 300c 30r. If your going to use the irc alloy cups check your mesh all around, mine are a bit loose but the shims on the outer cups and the front and rear pinions are impossible to get hold of

If your going to use the irc alloy cups check your mesh all around, mine are a bit loose but the shims on the outer cups and the front and rear pinions are impossible to get hold of You need to measure them with some calipers then enter your measurements on say eBay and your find loads even MS carry a selection in stock of the most common sizes .. There not an odd size or anything so they should be easy to find unless you want Thunder Tiger branded ones .. If that's your vid on YouTube of a loose diff I'd put it all back together and see how much movement you have in and out on the center out drive before you go shimming it as it needs some or it will bind up once it heats up ! Don't forget to add some grease to the teeth as well .. Everything needs to run nice and smooth any binding will cause you just as much if not more trouble than if it was slightly loose ! Deafty
FYI TT shims are of a minute size smaller than std.15.8mm dia for diff-->bulkhead,. 16mm fit just fine
Skinso
Doddy I have it greased up and put back together, I think (hopefully) it's fine. There is no side to side movement of the diff and the mesh with the pinion again I think (hopefully) is fine. I checked the front today and the mesh is similar to the rear. Deafty I've shims ordered but they're coming from America as it's only place I've seen them. I might not need them but it's good to have them, nothing worse than needing them and waiting weeks on delivery
Deafty
I get mine from asiatees, rcmart and local ebay usually. my rule is 4 euro max for 30-40 pieces. local HS wants 8.95 for 10 pieces Anyways,...Sounds like u r back up and running
