b3nchy
Morning all. Can anyone make any suggestions on wheels/tyre sets that fit a lunchbox. Fancy something different to the stock yellow bowls Noticed they seem to be an odd bore size and funny offset to most Thanks!!
Noj
You'll need Tamiya Frog hex adaptors for the rears, then any tamiya 2wd wheels will fit, as will any, 12mm hex rears. There is no hex adaptor for the fronts however, so that does limit choice a little.
b3nchy
Ive tried a few but i noticed the axles seem thicker on the lb??
Noj
The adaptor should cure that, as it covers the shaft, allowing only the thread to show through
johninderby
Just pure coincidence that I have some Blitzer Beetle wheels in the sale section that will fit. That is if you get the hex adapters for the rear on the Lunchbox. http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/199861-tamiya-blitzer-beatle-wheels-tyres-new/ John
Gaz!
The chrome ones off a pumpkin is the easiest way. I did the very same to my lunchbox, slapped on frog adapters and a set of stadium blitzer wheels and tyres, worked quite well too, just need to watch the grip roll though...... b3nchy
What you mean by grip roll??
Noj
As in, turn corner, inside wheels grip better than the outside, rc rolls over. Very common on Short Course trucks as well More of an issue when using tyres with lugs/pins that, well, grip
