My beach runner is my Blizzard. Running on tracks means even the loose stuff won't stop me - but running a 10.5t brushless its fast enough to kick up sand too.

Kinda hard to source spares for - but a used Blizzard EV and a brushless system could be had in budget.

Otherwise I quite like the look of the Carisma M10DT Beetle. Scale looks, decent 2wd platform underneath and waterproof electrics. Shame its not that quick in stock form.

I current use my old HCG Slash - not much metal to rust on it. Easy to pull apart. SC8WP and 4000KV motor on 2s.

May get myself Tamiya Grasshopper next year as me and my dad had one when I was a child and had great fun with it on the beach.

Had a MERV in the past, wasn't impressed with it, even brushless. Got a Tamiya Street Rover but its more a poser than a runner at the moment, daren't risk it near dogs and stuff on a beach. Really tempted by Short Course trucks like the HPI Blitz as its waterproof (good for streams and things on the beaches), can you get underbodies easily in the UK?

The new GF01? (4wd)

Not sure how effective RWD would be on sand, but I guess tyre size of the below will help;

or maybe a Lunchbox?

Something cheap and cheerful and plastic so you can wash it off and clean it easily. Waterproof the receiver. (My wife bought me some black baloons from clintons which worked perfectly for our cars on the electrics.

i know exactly what your looking for and wanting, and we have tried to even make them ourselves to much no avail.

sandrail frame alloy tubed to fit a center drive transmission.

rear floating trailing arms to a set of sturdy yet cheap locked solid axle.

a set of dual piggyback shocks, one set without springs to mimic a gas compression damper.

True to life sand paddles with beadlocks clamping rims ( no more superglue mess)

front end long reach shocks with rod and link holders. and front rims sporting true ridged sand tyres in 1/10th scale.

same chassi design powersystem could be fitted to the same like chassis, given class 1 unlimited decals and panels.

it could also be given a full cover class 1 unlimited trophy truck body.

problem is no company will make one and sell it at a decent low cost price, if you made one of these pumped it out right before summer hols

with a fancy video of it ripping up the beach it would fly from shelves and be a base for mad modding fans.

to make it bullet proof you just them mod out and sell hop up gearing parts to change the gearing in the rear diff and the center drive tranny.

add some fancy sliding uj's  and torque up one side of the suspension with preload, to counter the torque roll when it rears the front up under power

Sounds to me like your describing the Axial Yeti !!
