Boosting Signal Range?

Hi all,

Was just wondering if there was a way to boost the wifi range for a drone? The likes of the new Parrot Bebop, and Inspire 1.

I'll be using it from a boat at some point and hoped to get extra range, would probably need a way to boost the light bridge as well if possible?

As said it'll be from a boat, so can be a big fixed place antenna that uses wall plug type energy if need.

Admit I am new, and maybe going any further than the range they already offer is eating into the battery life for being able to return safely anyway, the "PSR"?

Just hoped for some knowledge on the matter, many thanks for any wisdom.

if you are making a diy quad, there are really easy ways of getting loads of range, just not really that legal in the UK

i wanna use 433mhz 1000mw for my transmitter, and 800mw 900mhz for the video, with that setup, i should have a good 6-7 mile range if i use decent antennas
