Hi all,

Just starting to get back into this hobby. My first car was an Acme Cyclone 2 speed which i mainly got as a base model to know the ins and out then gradually move up. Lost interest in the hobby as had exams and essays which took up most of my time. Came across rc nitro cars again the other day browsing through youtube. Im now slowly getting back into the hobby. Im drawn between either the Hpi 3.5 Trophy or a Hobao Hyper 7 TQ2 buggy. Im still doing my research and plan on going into a hobby shop ( where ever the close is ) so i can make a decision. Plan is to get one and hopefully it snows this christmas :)

Welcome to the forum :)

Nothing wrong with either the Trophy or the Hobao ... both decent enough buggies. For me...I'd go for the TQ2. Very little breaks, and spares are pretty cheap and easy to get online. May struggle to find either on the shelf in London shops, as there are not many left nowadays. Everyone shopping online has killed them off. Hobbystores are unlikely to stock either.....

Whereabouts in London are you?
