im looking to get a dji 450 flamewheel.

it comes down to what flight controller i want.

im struggling to see the difference? perhaps a slightly longer gps lock time? possible not as stable though this sems to be down to poor set up on the users part

i want it mostly for a bit of fun. i might take some video from it now and again but nothing serious?

The Naza V2 has a few more options than the Lite version but they are mainly based around the type of tri, quad, hex etc copter you want to build

I bought the V2 version as at the time I was looking I saw more scare stories about the Naza Lite but since then I have seen negative comments about both of them.

If you want to do it on a budget get the Lite version, about

it does have issues  even when set up correct.   but from what i have read  even if you switch it back to manual mode on a fly away you still have no control.   i have really looked it to issue but never found a answer to why it wants to fly off in the first place.  i know RTH does play up  but some people have had it fly off for no reason then do a perfect landing.

ive seen that but its the worst composition ive ever seen. it basically tells me i can plug in other units... great it dosent tell me if they fly any differently

I think the only way you will find that out is to find someone who has used both units in the same quad.

Whilst not impossible it might be a bit unusual.

V2 gives more expandability in the future, whilst you don't think you will need that right now it can become addictive and the urge to expand can take over :)

ive been looking all over and i cant find a definitive answer. i cant think what i would want to expand with. possibly fpv in the future but thats a separate thing all together

think of it as brain size,

the Naza M -Lite . this has a medium sized brain, in other words it has so many I/O pins it can use, think of them as data lines

it has 16 lines and a few kb memory, the short memory means you can only add so much code, more code = more adaptations (ie, you get more options)

it comes with a GPS, compass, barometer, accels and gyros. the gps houses both the gps system and the compass.

it also comes with the modes GPS - ATTI - IOC - Failsafe -RTH - MANUAL

the naza M V2 this has a large brain, in otherwords a supercharged engine, its able to run more caculations at a faster speed, at the same time it has a memory

upgrade, this means more code base is added and your system now allows you to have waypoints and added fun stuff.

it has the same like GPS and compass unit and the same sensor layout, but has more expandability. you also get extra Modes

as well as those provided in the naza lite system

DO BOTH SYSTEMS FLY THE SAME, being honest and a human YES, if i was a computer diagnosis machine NO.

there is a slightly faster brain onboard and a larger memory bank so this means its able to run just that faster on caculations

this means a very tiny fraction smoother flight, but nothing the human would pick up. a computer has a resolution that would see a change.

so yes to us humans they fly the same, BUT you gain more I/O pins and more horsepower in the brain so you gain more fancy modes ie waypoints.

the Naza M-LITE is NONE expanding, this means you cannot plug in the DJI osd and likes they will not work because you cannot use the hub port on the lite system.

the naza M V2 is plugable and will be able to run the hub port and allow you to run DJI branded stuff like the OSD etc etc.( these things are more FPV needed )
