Hi all,

Can I charge this battery at 5.1amp because it is 5100mah or not??

Electric is really not my thing and I know nothing about it lol

With an apropriate lipo charger yes, 5.1a is whats called 1C and seems to the recommended charge rate.  Some batts can do more (2C for that would be 10.2a) but thoughts are it can shorten life.

Make sure you take proper precautions when charging lipo's.

Lol I have been charging it at 1.5 to be safe and it was taking hours, thanks for the help

Np - iirc 1C should be about an hour (if your not balance charging).  I've a pair of older, 2200 nano techs that whilst still perfect are cheap enough to test with.   Both have had broadly the same useage so I keep meaning to test and compare continuing 1 at 1C and the other at 3C (6.6a) which is near the limit of my charger.  IIRC they claim upto 8C is fine :o

I just always take the zeros of and place a decimal place In the middle lol.

5400mah - 5.4a

5000mah - 5.0a

3500mah - 3.5a

So on and so on. Whether this is correct or bot but I haven't had any issues. :-)

Most turnigy packs 'claim' 10c charging.

No one in their right mind would ever do so.

If you choose the path of idiocy, please ensure to video the charge process please :)

The man with a shell on his back has his charging maths spot on :)
