Bought a Thunder Tiger MTA G3 from Modelsport last Thursday evening, and paid extra for Saturday delivery. It arrived early on Saturday (as I expected with MS's usual delivery) so I checked it over, charged up some lipos and took it out for a run. Went to take it out on its second run but the LVC was playing up and wouldn't let me use it. Quick call to Modelsport on Monday regarding the problem and they suggested sending it back. Posted it Tuesday morning. Had a message left on my answerphone this morning from the guys at Modelsport asking me to give them a call. I called up to find that the ESC was in fact faulty and a brand new replacement has already been sent out this morning and should be with me Friday. This is one of the many reasons I use Modelsport! Pistonhead Posted October 22, 2014 Share Posted October 22, 2014 (edited) Bought a gallon of nitro fuel from them and was delivered leaking, a quick email stating what had happened with photos of fuel and packaging and they offered a full refund including - postage charges - and let me keep the fuel. Bought a Firestorm Flux lipo bundle, two days later they still hadn't dispached it. One phone call later and they informed me that the lipo for the bundle was out of stock, so they packed me the best equivalent lipo (a more expensive one but didn't charge me the difference) and sent it out on next day delivery. Bought a Firestorm Flux with free battery, but the battery had Tamiya connector, not Deans. A phone call had an adaptor with me next day! Nick Posted October 23, 2014 Share Posted October 23, 2014 The showroom is only small, not much to browse but they'll always be happy to get a model out the box to show you! I worked there for a few years and miss them dearly. Very good people in and out of work. What's the one way system in Otley now? Is it down Walkergate, the road past the Manor pub?
