My Hong Nor X3e Sabre

Recommended Posts

There ain't a Pro spec X3E, I added the rear hubs, chassis brace mount, wing stay spacers and the towers were custom made by a bloke off RcTech, the chassis braces came with roller when I bought it, tbh it looks pretty much the same as when I sold it. Have a good read of my original build thread if you wanna know the build history of her :)

Oh, then I better change the title then lol.

Anyways, looks pretty good mate. The guy who bought it probably didn't used it so much.

I will have a look at your thread as soon as I finish putting it back together. I'm replaceing the bearings and the diff oil at the moment ;)

It's missing the rear carbon shock tower. Probably dude broke it, anyways I like the cnc towers more and they look new. Also I still have your last black body shell and the yellow wheels, wheels at least look like new.

Did u ever managed to convert it to v2?

If not, I guess that's gonna be my mission.

I need to buy a new shell and a rear wing, apart from that it's pretty mint ;)

Nice leccys on it as well. Made it easier for me.

So far I love it, looks really really strong.

I went for 7-10-3k oil diff wise and replaced some of the bearings.

Also ordered new t-bones front and rear.

Cheers

Got me new body shell.

I'm yet to decide on the paint scheme. Don't want to try something to complicated though.

Buggy is now serviced. I need to change the shock oil as well but I'm waiting for some shock guards and I'll probably do it then.

Here's a photo of the chassis.

I kept the motor the buggy came with, the Tenshock X802 and the Savox 1856. Fitted my Hobbywing Quicrun 150.

I would like the change the motor at some point as I prefer to run it on 4s and 1850kv is rather slow.

I tried 6s as well but it is too much.

5s is dodgy on the hobbywing, I need to manually set it and I don't like the idea so the plan is 4s.

I might get an SC8 for it instead.

I'm gonna keep the black body as a basher till it breaks and use the new one after.
