maxlad14
im going to buy a new brushed motor and I was just wondering what you guys are running. I think I might go with the firebolt 15t. I like a quick car with no torque so I guess a 15t would be pretty sick. so drop a comment of what you got

Tug
Any clues as to what it's going in?
Tamiyacowboy
i left brushed motors in around 2007. installed a micro 8000kv brushless into a palm sized machine and broke it on its first madien test run. higher the turn the more torque you give out so stretch and his 55t is more so a crawler motor. its going to have huge torque to pull over the rocks and crags. the 15t fireball is not a bad choice but please make sure your speed control can handle the extra amps the motor will want to pull. and at a guess its for the mav strada evo ? Juggernaut jims
Only ever had two brushed motors a silver can in my blackfoot and the 21 clash motor, we would need to.know what esc you have in order to put a motor to it otherwise it may let off the magic smoke. Noj
15t firebolts in vintage tamiyas, coupled with etronix probe wp escs, as they are 15t capable and take 2s lipo.
maxlad14
Yea im running it in a maverick strada drift car but I don't understand why people run brushless because a brushed motor can kick the back out easy anyway. I would probarly need to test a brushless to see for my self but if I did get a brushless, wouldnt that mean I gotta get other things? Juggernaut jims
Brushless doesn't require skimming and new brushes where as brushed motors do. You would need an esc motor and possibly lipo to get the best out of the brushless system. PNuts
run a 15t Firebolt as mentioned above in my old skool Tamiya fighter buggy, with a 15t esc (cant remember brand) I upgraded just about everything else with it too: tyres, shocks, pinions, bearings etc it was still uncontrollable, but then again it was 2wd!!
