daredevil
Hi I have a hobao pirate mt sports and I was wondering if the is another spur gear that i can use then the factory one that come with it, because the one that comes with it is plastic and I wanted to know if there is a medal one or something else I can use
gavin28
If you get a metal one, you may have to upgrade the clutch bell to a hardened steel one too if its not got one already. There;'s usually nothing wrong with plastic spur gears, they will last for gallons if meshed correctly. If you have stripped it, then find out why and fix that first, its good to have a cheap easily replaceable weak spot, better a cheap spur gear than a diff striping out etc.

daredevil
The engine that's suppose to be on there is a hyper 21 and right now I have a 3.5 engine in it could that have been the reason why my spur gear stripped cuz it's not the regional engine that comes with it
ExLimeyBasher
A 21 size engine (.21 cubic inches) is the same size as a 3.5 size (3.5 CC) engine, CC is metric Cu inch is imperial. So all is good
