What transmitter

Hi guys.

With my first grown up quad on its way I am in need on transmitter advice. I was looking at the flysky th9 range but as I don't really know what I need I thought I would throw the question to you guys...

What tx/rx bundle should I get. Please bear in mind I'm on a tight budget so the cheaper the better. That being said I don't want to fin I need a better one in 12months like I did with my ground based radio gear.

My quad is Comming with an orange dsm2 rx but I don't mind replacing it.

Thanks for the advice

So in looking at a mode 2 9xr (typical its on backorder at hk uk) what module do I need? For an orange rx? Or do I not need a module at all?

Quad arrived today with 2 broken props that I ordered replacement for. Can't wait to get it in the air. Need to sort

1, transmitter

2, batteries

That gets it airborn

After that it's something to view the data from the camera

But that's additional expense I can't afford right now.

  • 2 weeks later...

Ordered some batteries this morning so I'm getting closer.

Radio is still on backorder.

Do I need a module for the radio? It's not clear if I do or not looking at the info on hobbykings site

Err, isn't there a clue in the description??  :tease:

The 9xr's don't come with module so if you want to use orange kit you'll need one of these I think:

Which warehouse have you gone for? The mode 2 is available in euro wh but the module is international only so might as well order both from there as in stock.
