Losing connection with Nitro buggy

Hi all, so I have a spectrum DX2E tx and rx, I bought it second hand so didn't know if it was already linked. So put it all together and it works fine, turn tx off and servo goes to neutral and spring pulls the carb shut. So I thought great it's working so must have been bound already.

Until today, on a hill towards a road, it loses connection. Throttle closes but it rolls straight down the hill at less than half speed, flips off the 6ft bank and lands on its top in the middle of the road, still running, all good but could have been major, like if a truck drove past the same time it landed.

Tx and rx batteries were fully charged, nearly new rx hump pack. Connection comes back after 2 seconds.

Can't work this out myself as Im new to this so hopefully somebody can help.

That's disappointing I bought it on here unknowingly with a fault. I certainly won't be selling it on then.

Any danger using it then, every time it loses connection my throttle closes for a couple seconds until I get connection again, is it just luck that the spring round the carb is doing its job every time or is it likely to actually get stuck full on throttle and lock he servo. Or do servos always go to neutral if there is no power to it
