Supastox washer mod and diff grease

Recommended Posts

Hi all, ran my supastox for the first time on Monday. Stripped spur on diff and when I took it apart to fix I lost 9 of the balls! So I ran the solid axle. Anyway, I'm rebuilding it now, just wondering if I need to add more grease to the balls. If so what grease is best?

Also can someone please show some pictures of the "maplin washer mod" and explain how it actually helps? is the mod also done on the front?

Many thanks,

2pricey4u is correct, the maplin washers act as a damper replacing the stock O-rings, they give a more consistent feeling to the car.

Fit them only under the springs to start with, I tried different settings trying them on the pod links too but varies depending on your track and how you like your car.

Another tip is to have 4 bolts fitted for the rear springs, then you can quickly swap between them if required. I fitted bolts in the 2 outer most holes along with a maplin washer on both
