A longer, thicker can should be more efficient and run cooler than a shorter, thinner can of equivalent KV. The lower the kV, the less heat is generated by the can, which should allow more gearing options.

2650kv is buggy material, or traxxas slash 4wd...great kV for the right application, which is not an eighth scale truggy.

I suggest swapping motors between your vehicles; you may have to change gearing on the buggy too, so do as we all do, and invest in a range of pinions, fit one, test run it, temp gun it, and change accordingly.

Your personal driving style, bash spots, terrain etc affect how you need to gear your RCs; members can give you suggestions, but you need to try things for yourself too. All part of the hobby ;)
