New arrival - Losi Micro Truggy

Recommended Posts

Hi all

My first foray into the micro world arrived this morning, a lovely s/h 4wd micro truggy from johninderby (thanks John!)

He has kindly fitted a 2.4ghz Flysky micro receiver so none of that faffing about with crystals for me.

It was an ARTR so fortunately the Flysky GT3 I ordered to go with it arrived at the same time. Been zooming it around the office this morning much to everyone's amusement. Secretly they all want a go.

Some piccies:

Well it's proving a lot of fun and has livened up a dull day at the office. Even managed a top speed run down the corridor past HR. :)

Does anyone know whether I can get a lipo that will fit this micro truggy? I'm looking for runtime rather than outright speed, it's a twitchy little bugger as it is! And is there a lipo cutoff that would fit?

I think the 2s may be too long for the tray and plug.

The 3s will fit at a push, I had to open mine up and pull the battery plug into the chassis in order to be able to make the connection. Worth the effort though!

Battery plug has already been moved. Hole drilled to allow plug to be pulled through out of the way.

This ESC would be suitable and it is LiPo compatible and is a perfect fit. Good eBay seller as well.

Thanks chaps. I'm going to order a couple of those nano-tech lipo's, already got a LVA on the way, would rather not change the ESC on this with my (lack of) soldering skills. What adapter should I be looking for to go from the JST on the nanotech to the losi micro connector (not sure what the connector type/name is...)
