I presume that's been XL'd Wrighty?

From what I've read, these are great for bashing once a few upgrades have been fitted.

They're not really that comparable, but how would you guys rate the Stampede 4x4 against this for skatepark bashing? Both fitted with the essential upgrades?

Yeah that was the first thing on my list, also has alza CD with hyper 7 spider diff, alza jumbo servo plate, alza bulkhead brace, RPM arms, integy rear hubs carriers, leopard 4092 1480kv on 6s....to be honest I have done all these upgrades and I'm still not happy with it! they aren't brilliant bashers, mine and my brothers break every time we go out haha, my brushless hyper 7 and savage xs take a lot more abuse than this does

Have you tried just running it 4S? 6S could be what is partly causing the breakages? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

What do you run the Savage XS on? 2S only?

I just bought the HD integy rear hubs for my savage, after I snapped the stock 3.5 one from its conversion last year, it's held up very well in a years worth of bashing!

What do you run yours on? 4S or 6S?

When I had the stock 2200kv hpi doodar in it I ran 4s, now with the 1480kv I need 6s to get the same speeds I used to have! I was opting for a lower amp setup for longer run times.

I run the xs on 2s and 3s, all depends on what other rc's I take out with me and what lipo's are still charged haha

I've only recently converted mine to brushless and I find 5s the perfect sweet spot too. I don't think RPM arms are necessary on these, I've yet to break an arm in the whole time I've owned it. Alza bulkhead braces are a must though.

Mine has IRC TVPs, IRC Big Bore v2 shocks, Alza bulkhead braces, and an Alza centre diff conversion, an RCM alloy steering setup and the HPI 'racing conversion kit' (alloy hubs/uprights, rear tie-rod delete, thicker upper bulkhead braces) and it's pretty bombproof to be honest, I rarely break anything. I took it on holiday with me over the summer and hit a huge rock during a speed run on a beach. It just shrugged it off...

This is it now

And with the xl body shell on

The main 'must have' upgrade's are the integy rear HD hub carriers, the alza bulkhead braces and the hot racing 17mm hexes

How are your motor temps on 6s with the CD conversion?
