Got a losi mini baja with a broken servo help needed new servo or go brushless

So I'm new just got two exc smash trucks for my boys for Xmas, now I got a mini baja for myself that has a broken servo, so I'm thinking if I should get a new servo is so what will work as standard ?. But then I'm thinking of just going for it an going brushless but want to do it cheap so what's good esc an motor but cheap lol. Also what battery's will work with it an what will work with my boys standard ecx smash an not kill it want lipos but unsure what to use, take it easy on me as like I day I'm new to this had older cars an not so good nitro ones so all the help I can get is great.

Hi.if it's based on the mlst,don't go brushless! The drivetrains made of liqourice & won't handle brushless.I put a brushless I'm my mlst2 & it just ate the drivetrain :/ .I put a MIP centre diff in it,it lasted 7 feet :/

Cheers had a look some helpfull bits there may just go with the cheap hobby king combo the get a Metal pinion as I say inner to this so don't know what I need but would like to make it abit more fun, then when my kids get used to there smash I can hop there's up the same aswell

Make sure the steering trim is in neutral position, then connect the servo to the receiver, so that it defaults to center position, and check it operates smoothly. If it does, then install into the Losi, with the wheels pointing straight ahead, and connect up. Any trim adjustments can then be made to get it traveling straight.

If, when you plug the servo in, it doesn't operate smoothly, send it back as it is broken.
