chris-red
Anyone know why my car is doing this? It's an Old HPI RS4 I'm not touching the throttle as as far as I can tell the throttle arm doesn't move when it happens, and what is that screeching noise, it doesn't make that noise under normally running. As speed it is fine it is only at idle is makes this noise.
Ian w
It looks and sounds like a clutch problem, when you rev it hard the clutch shoes are held out tight to the bell. But when its just idleling like that it sounds like a clutch shoe is just dropping in. Engine out and check the clutch time.
chris-red
I changed the clutch today but it was doing this before then. I have taken it apart and checked, everything is located properly as far as I could tell.
jizwizard
did you check the bearings? Had exactly the same problem on my hyper yesterday. Thought it might be the clutch but turned out that the bearing was buggered
