RevoMikey
I am considering flogging the erbe. Its been upgraded to summit axles and has full rpm arms with the rpm tru track system on the rear. It has a 15kg single servo and the usual castle mmm system. Just fitted new diffs too. What's it worth chaps? Is it worth selling?
RevoMikey
Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?
Tug
I sold a roller with similar spec, only got 130 for it. I should've stripped the RPM bits off!
RevoMikey
Thanks for the reply tug. I will probably keep it then if that's what its worth. At over
Tug
Yup, I feel the same. Your only other option is to strip to component parts and sell individually, this is said to create a bigger return. It is very labour intensive though.
RevoMikey
I already have a hugely upgraded nitro revo sat on the shelf so the erbe will be good company for it. I am getting into the flying lately so really fancy a big fpv quad copter.
Tug
I know a guy who recently built a tri-copter. Over two grands worth! C/W FPV, it's a beaut!
RCbutcher
Definitely best to strip the revos down I bet you could get 350 up stripping. Mamba combo. Bare bones roller. Wheels. Radio. Shell. Step further spilt the gearbox too. I stripped my last revo like that and got near 200 but it was a nitro 2.5r so that was a very good price. Plus I kept some parts for my nitro. Was awhile ago now tho. Revo prices have crashed on ebay the ones that sell go between 120-160 no difference to what upgrades are fitted so ill never sell mine lol. The gearbox cost as much as the offers ide receive.
RevoMikey
the frustrating thing is that i am sick of changing diffs, the revo is so well designed but its built out of crap, when its in the air its just a joy to watch and control, but its a fair cry from 6s capable, sure the mmm is capable but the revo diffs are so poor, i run 4s and 5s and it struggles on those, i have also turned the torque down so it wont wheely, doesnt affect the top end much but its gentler on the diffs. I rebuilt the rear diff today and shimmed it perfectly, if this one goes quickly i will be tossing it in the bin! the truggy flux is half the price and i dont get any where near the problems out of that. Anyone thinking of buying traxxas really should think twice. Edited August 22, 2014 by RevoMikey
Tug
Just Ragged my ERBE for a full hour on 4s, not one issue!
