Vorza or hyper 7 brushless ? And why ?

Recommended Posts

Hyper 7.

Hobao or Ofna are pretty robust cars. Especially Hyper 7/8/9/ST/SC

Stick a set of T-bones on and they will take a pasting.

Parts are cheap and plentiful, parts are also cheaper from Hong Kong.

with the right brushless they go like stink.

HPI is overpriced for what you get.

I had fun building my 7. Spent a load of money but it was still like half the price of a new vorza.

My shocks are in need of tuning though as it feels a bit soft with 35wt oil on but too slow to react with 50wt. I need to put diff oil in the front and rear too but doing that stuff is part of the fun.

Optimus , it was roller for roller

It has some silly rear toe for some reason and I don't like it

Ah, is that the one that was in the classifieds?

Even as a roller vorza's are more expensive so really once you've thrown your leccys in there you'll have a whole car for quite abit less than you would have paid buying it ready to go.

Regarding setup, I have no clue. How much toe / camber / front / rear would you run anyway?

I think the shocks on mine are ok as a guy at my LHS said felt decent but it slaps the floor when dropped from just under a foot off the floor. My 1:10 could be dropped from much higher before slapping but the guy said this was due to the weight of the 7....

Yes it was

Glad I've got another hyper to build though as I'm not so sure about the vorza yet

I already had my electrics but if I hadn't then it would have been an expensive do

Anybody else's vorza really noisey ?

Like rough sorta noisey ?

Going to pull diffs apart and see what score is inside them

Yes mine bottoms out too !!!!!

And my hyper didn't

The steel spur and pinion is what makes the noise from a Vorza. Nothing else should be making noises.

It is normal with the toe on the rear. It is the same as with the race buggy D8 which shares a lot of parts with the Vorza.

Is there any blocks that have 0 degree toe in available ?

It looks horrible and doesn't feel all that stable

When I open the front and rear boxes , they were dry

Greased them up and is a little quieter

Center diff seems a little light on the oil so I'm goin to put little heavier weight oil in

I think another set of springs would help it too
