Maverick Scout video and project photo

Recommended Posts

Hello from Norway!

A small video of my Maverick Scout on my first crawler trip :)

http://youtu.be/bX2mEezc7cU

Are there any of you who have experience with these on Maverick? http://www.fusionhobbies.com/product/j51033-junfac-2-2-wheel-widener-x4-19mm-offset

Would have liked the car a little wider, rolls fast sideways.

Awesome landscape in Norway. Very jealous.

Almost unlimited mods you can do on these, just do a quick search on the forum.

I'd go lower height and weight wise before you go wider...

Thanks for the tips :) I have read and read about crawling, cars, batteries and setup. It is probably true that the simple is often best. :)

Starting with lowering the body and find a new place to receiver, esc, and weights in the tires.

I will update when the job is done and tested.

Fun that you liked my video, thanks :)

Hey. Turned the top plate upside down with some modifications and mounted esc and receiver under there, lower center of gravity, i hope :) Will make attaching the battery in front of somehow. Also shortened shock absorbers with a cm. The cable that comes out on top is to Led lights. Can not wait to try it again :)

But, I wonder, are the cars come with three gray springs and one black?

Looking good. :). I need to make up a similar battery mount to what you've got on the scout, I run a small 2s lipo and it's in the perfect place to get bashed or punctured by a rock. I plan on making a compartment for it out if thin sheet aluminium.

Scout x 2 and homemade trailer in aluminum.

(The green wire you can see under the body on the first car, is the power cord to the lights on the trailer.)

Thanks Neil!   :) It's a really good place to have your battery, get a little extra weight in front too. The one I've used for battery mount is really a towel holder :)
I have added weight in the wheels, 160 grams front and 140 in the rear, it helped :) Will take a picture one day of how I attach the battery now, I also run with 2s Lipo.

It looks very cool :) Congrats Z750jay

It's Fun to build and put in new things, doing Dingo body now, cupe lights, speedometer, RPM, stereo etc.

Missing steering wheel and driver   Any good ideas where I can get it?
