When most people get an RTR they end up getting a new a shell, wheels, tires and spend a large amount of money on on upgrades over time so there isn't much stock after a while. With more and more upgrades being released for models wouldn't it be cheaper in the long run to build the kit from scratch. Doing it this way you don't pay for the crappy stock part that will either break or end up in the bottom of your part box. What do you guys think? GilbertRC1 Posted August 1, 2014 Share Posted August 1, 2014 I often think about this but I would have to say that there are very few kits with which you can do this and those kits tend to be rather expensive, for example it would be easy to build a baja from scratch and entirely out of upgrade parts but you would have to be a very patient millionaire to do so. If you need to replace that much for there must be something fundamentally wrong with the design.
