There's north London bashers, they are around the Barnet area so not to far from hereford. Have you been over to herts rc modelshop? They have two tracks that you can use.

Hi mate,

I did put a post in that section but didn't get any replies...not been to herts RC may have to venture over there at some point!

I have an 1/8th scale on road, so cannot use the courses at Herts RC, but have visited it on a few occasions, when they have the championship meets there..... I also get my fuel from there.........The shop itself is very helpful & is run by a guy named Gary (lovely bloke)........You can buy many spare parts & fuel there & they also provide a brilliant repair & sales service............Here's a couple of links to their sites...............http://www.hertsnitromodelclub.co.uk/ ...............http://www.hertsrcmodels.co.uk/ ..........hope that helps..................

I came across this place too. I was 5 mins away from the shop yesterday but didn't realise. I will have to pop in next week.

The track looks great. I had a google but I can't find any other outdoor tracks for miles...although it's probably because model shops/tracks do such a bad job of online sales/marketing.

Can you just turn up, pay and use the track when its open or is it members and races only?

You have to be a brca member to use the tracks :(

I wouldn't even know where to start. :(

Why is it that we do that in this country. Most forms of hobbies/sport have to be tied up in little clubs with membership and poor marketing to the public. I remember seeing a few model shops in the states. Huge selection, great website and usually a track right out the back which was either free or just a few bucks for a whole days use.

I'm going to be in hoddesdon for work one day next week so I'll let you know. I just can't figure out when its open and if you can just arrive and use it without being part of a race meeting.
