Thanks man ive done this way and with drywall but I thought it might not be enough for the fg. For fibre glass I thought ide have to mix up a paste and apply it or something but if this will do then ill do this.

I do have some 1mm thick carbon fibre sheet it'd be cool to use that but cutting it is nightmare. Ill get some pics of the shells later and carry this threat on to any other questions I have later.

Would this be useful and easy to apply?

Ive seen it done on tv and think it said as long as you keep it tucked with no bubbles you can't go wrong. Or should I shoo goo mecano strips in lol. Ill get pics later for sure.

Ide also like tips on maybe rebuilding the flat bed and making a cage I have the right alloy tube but need the clips or whatever is used to connect it to the roof bars.

Here's the truck and shells now ive sat the bug on the chassis I quite like it too so will hopfully strengthen that one aswel. Ive given up on the fibreglass reinforcement tho after reading it wont work too well on lexan so its looking like a ton of shoo goo and skrimp tape. Unless other ideas come up.

The main problem is the split held together with a servo horn lol ide like to make that as good as possible sand it smooth and add stickers.

Cracked one side split totally on the other side.

I have no idea what shell this is its lexan tho. Fairly flimsy and has a right silly wing lol. No cracks but cut out rear arches. Shoo goo and stickers should be enough on this one tho.

I would also like to get the monster details on the yellow shell I have lots of 6mm alloy tubes but no clamps or what they use im not sure. I do have 3 hpi baja cage window clamps im not sure they'd work tho.

Ideas tips welcome.

Its a pretty good truck tho 10x better than what I started with on the marder.

  • 3 weeks later...

I ended up gorilla taping it from the outside then skrimp tape and shoo goo on the inside. Let it dry then took the gorilla tape off and filled the small crack with more goo. Plus put some gorilla tape over the patchwork inside.

It's holding together so ffar but hasn't run yet lol I will shoo goo the rest of the back end and mayb layer it like roof tiles theory being it'll be stronger and still flex.

The bug body is growing on me tho so if the truck frags out ill tart the bug but it's a new shape bug lol not the monster bug.

I won't be buying a new shell for it tho Fgs aren't worth pitting money into I've learnt that the hard way so this truck has a
